Product Description What is Impact Bonding Technology? Impact bonded cookware is a highly durable type of cookware that can be used on any type of cooktop, including gas, electric, infrared, ceramic, and induction cooking. This cookware is created through a friction process that forms a bond between the base of the vessel and the disc, without the use of any adhesive. The disc is placed on the base of the vessel and, when passed through the impact bonding machine, pressure and friction cause the bond to form. The friction press applies an instantaneous pressure ranging from 800 to 1500 tons. Impact bonding ensures a secure attachment of the cooking disc to the pot/pan base.
